I would say that one of the most important things in our digital life is to have good passwords, then to have a proper way to secure and manage those passwords. Thankfully, we have different solutions.

Recently, I posted about how I successfully migrated my jekyll static blog from Github to Codeberg Pages, also explaining my attempt to use Writefreely as my blogging platform.

I really want to make writing a habit, but I've been struggling with the lack of a true editor in Jekyll, which makes it a pain to work on the build of this habit. Well, I still think that static websites are great for a number of reasons, but not ideal for producing a lot of content.

Today, you may have received some old posts again on your rss feed app, and this is due to a change on this website, where I migrated from Jekyll to Ghost.

I've been really busy these days and haven't made any posts. Despite having plenty of drafts for the blog, I couldn't find time to sit down and write.

Fortunately, unlike any algorithm-based platform, this blog allows me to write at my own pace and as I wish. After all, there's no financial support or, with all respect, any kind of obligations to readers. The dynamics of this blog is quite simple: I write what I want and like, while people who are interested in what I have to say, read it, and when they want, they interact with me by email or on fediverse. And this has been working very well.

This is an update on what happened in the previous month.

I'm definitely feeling a little nostalgic with Apple's last month announcement that the days of the iPod Touch are over.

The first iPod was announced in October 2001, and most people agree that it revolutionized the way we listen to music nowadays. By that time, there were other music players, but no manufacturer was able to bring together an easy way for us to buy music – with some decent quality – and offer a well designed product. Obviously, some audiophile may disagree with my “decent quality” statement, but it really was for the average user that didn't want (or need) to go deeper in all technicality in this regard.

Recently, The European Commission announced plans to require a universal charging port for all mobile devices by mid-2024.

As reported in many newspapers, their goal is to limit toxic waste, in addition to help consumers, who are mostly require to accumulate lots of cables and chargers.

What a joy I felt when Real Madrid was crowned the Champions League champion of 2022. Especially for the Brazilians who play in the team, as is the case of the striker Vinicius Jr.

Vinicius Jr. is undoubtedly the best Brazilian of the 2022 season to play in one of the great European soccer leagues. And this fact draws a lot of attention for some aspects, such as the excessive criticism he suffered (both from the Brazilian and the Spanish press), as well as the episodes of racism he constantly experiences, but mostly by the way he shows with his dedication that he can evolve more every day. This last characteristic becomes even more valuable in times when Brazilian soccer is represented by bad personalities such as Neymar and a style of soccer that gives us disgust.

Since I created this website I missed the ability to search my posts on-site. With the help of Simple Jekyll Search, this guide written by Kev, and some minor tweaks, I've managed to add this feature.
